Tough route in tough conditions

This year’s edition of BikingMan Taiwan was brutal. It was not particularly easy last year, but the changes brought to the route for 2019, to avoid boring urban areas when exiting Taipei, came with an additional dose of climbs, steep ones at that.
That made for a truly epic day one for all participants.
But for those, such as Julie, the conditions and events throughout the race, turned the whole event into an epic journey.

In this interview for Lessons In Badassery, Julie comes back on her incredible achievement during BikingMan Taiwan, having faced not only the challenges offered by the race course, but also the mechanical issues she had to overcome, not mentionning the terrible weather on the second part of the race.

A very nice moment with her, to learn more about BikingMan Taiwan, and also about Julie and her approach to ultra-cycling.
