Depending on your race format, here are our technical bike recommendations. For the 1000 km and HALF road races, the routes are 100% asphalt. The quality of the asphalt varies, and depending on the weather conditions, the roads can be greasy and covered in leaves, stones, etc. For the GRAVEL 555, the route consists of around 100 kilometers of forest tracks. We therefore recommend using the following equipment:

ROAD FORMAT

  • Recommended road bikes: comfortable with disc brakes
  • Tires of 25mm MINIMUM, 32 or 34mm if you are looking for ideal comfort
  • Disc brakes
  • Transmission: 50-34 teeth (front) – 11-34 (rear) MINIMUM

GRAVEL FORMAT

  • Gravel bike or semi-rigid mountain bike recommended: maximum comfort
  • Tires in sections of 40mm minimum or 45mm for greater comfort
  • Front transmission single chainring (36 or 38 teeth) or sub-compact (example: 46-30 teeth) and cassette as large as possible (example: 10-50 teeth)
  • Disk brakes
