Ultracycling: the ultimate travel and escape experience
After a seven-year hiatus, the IncaDivide returned this year. Peru hosted the 4th edition of this legendary event—the very race that launched the BikingMan series a decade ago. With its vast territory, rich in breathtaking landscapes and crossed by countless unforgettable trails, the country captivated participants with its beauty, spirituality, and the warmth of its people. This experience inspired Thibault’s reflection for Les Nouveaux Visages du sport (The New Faces of Sport): “Pedaling to find the meaning of life.”
Through conversations—including video discussions—with Axel Carion and Christian Orange (a finisher of the 2026 IncaDivide), they explore the elements that define this ultra-adventure and what stands today as perhaps the ultimate way to escape the madness of modern life and travel by bike.
