Schwalbe, the famous german tire maker, has been one of the very first sponsor of the BikingMan series (in 2018). The German brand also joined forces by supporting Axel on many extreme expeditions with their wide range of tires and most importantly, the durability of their tires.
For 2023, Schwalbe is jumping on board again and officially becomes a global partner of the race series. With this reinforced relationship and the strong values of endurance, adventure and resilience the brand shares with BikingMan and its other partners, 2023 is shaping up as an exciting year yet again full of cycling adventures.
Schwalbe therefore joins our great team of partners on the BikingMan ultracycling series for 2023 with a calendar that will consist of 7 sprint format events, starting with Portugal in just a couple of days, 4 events in France (Corsica, France, AURA and Euskadi), Brazil and a final queen stage in october with the BikingMan X for the first time taking place in Morocco for a truly breathtaking gravel experience and an epic finish to the season.
555 – 500 km in 55 hours
In addition to the BikingMan Sprint Series, 2023 will also feature 2 events of the 555 format.
The 555 is our new “shorter” format introduced in 2022. It takes all the ingredients of our best ultracycling events, namely adventure in amazing and wild environments, and condense these in a 500 km loop and a 55-hours time limit, allowing for epic adventures in the course of a single weekend.
After an epic 1st edition in 2022. the 555 will be back in Vercors in July 2023 and has already seduced many of you as its registrations are already full. So for those of you who missed their entry or would love to experience the BikingMan recipe, we are introducing a new 555 event in Alpes-Maritimes, an unbelievable playground for ultracyclists that veterans could taste during the BikingMan France. With the 555 Alpes-Maritimes, we will bring new participants to some secret backroads and gravel tracks the region has been hiding for ages. Don’t miss the inaugural edition of the 555 Alpes-Maritimes, it will clearly be memorable!
