The “X” is historically our ultimate adventure, the one that brings together challenges and ingredients for the most adventurous among you. It is also the main stage of the championship (the round counts double in terms of points) for its exotic character. For the second year in a row, Morocco offers a truly beautiful gravel experience and spectacular topography. For your preparation, make sure to gain experience on your gravel and work on managing your autonomy (water/food/repairs).
Expect a spectacular and exotic journey to end 2024 in style in the heart of the Moroccan mountains and desert.
Participants will discover the route on the morning of departure during the briefing.
This event is open to everyone but make sure you prepare seriously with your gravel bike.
The course will include portions of asphalt (max 80%) and gravel (max 20%). It is essential to bring a gravel bike or mountain bike (with or without telescopic fork) to register. We recommend using:
- Gravel bike such as the Origine Graxx 3 GTR or mountain bike (with or without fork)
- 35mm tires (minimum, ideally 40 or 45mm)
- Disc brakes
- Transmission: FRONT 48-31 or 46-30 teeth or MONO – Cassette 11-34 minimum
For your safety, you are required to bring the following equipment with you to participate in the race. The organization will ensure that you are in possession of the mandatory equipment when athletes and bikes check-in.
- GPS tracker – provided by the organization
- 1x set of 4 spare AAA batteries (lithium) (for the GPS tracker)
- Bike GPS – Wahoo / Garmin type or equivalent
- 1x bicycle helmet
- 1x front light (with permanent mode)
- 1x rear light (with permanent mode)
- 1x bicycle pump (mandatory even when using tubeless tires)
- 1x inner tube + 1x repair kit (patch + glue + tire changer – mandatory even when using tubeless tires)
- 1x set of spare brake pads
- Water bottles for a minimum capacity of 1.5l of water (1x 750ml water bottle provided to each athlete by the organization)
- 1x pair of gloves
- Reflective clothing (eg: Audax vest, yellow safety vest…)
- 1x survival blanket
- 1x jacket or jersey with light rain protection, ideally with a hood
- Sunglasses with UV protection
- Mobile phone and charging device (eg: dynamo or USB battery)
- Identity document + paper or digital copy of it (ex: keep a copy of your passport or identity card on your personal cloud)

Find useful information on the logistics and schedule of the race below. The racing village will be located in Marrakech. The departure hotel will be communicated later.
- Check-in: Saturday September 21th from 5pm to 7pm / Sunday September 22nd from 7am to 10am.
- Pre-race Briefing: Sunday September 22nd at 10:30am.
