Marrakech welcomes the inaugural edition of 555 Maroc to offer a spectacular 3 day adventure in the heart of grandiose landscapes and an exceptional gravel experience. You will discover an almost unlimited network of trails all around the “red city”, picturesque villages, then the highest pass in the Atlas: the Oukaïmeden at more than 3,000m. |

The race will include 1 mandatory checkpoints.
The event calendar
Get a head start by ideally arriving on Thursday September 18th in the morning at the race village at Oasis Lodges to be able to start with complete peace of mind.
- Reception and control of mandatory equipment: Thursday September 18th from 4pm to 6pm
- Pre-race briefing: 1 month before departure (visio).
- Start of the race: Friday September 19th at 7am.
- Arrival Time Limit: Sunday September 21st at 7pm.
Pour votre sécurité, il vous est obligatoire d’emporter avec vous les équipements suivants afin de participer à la course. L’organisation s’assurera que vous êtes bien en possession de l’équipement obligatoire lors du check-in des athlètes et des vélos.
- GPS tracker – provided by the organization
- 1x set of 4 spare AAA batteries (ideally lithium) (for the GPS tracker)
- Bike GPS – Wahoo / Garmin type or equivalent
- 1x bicycle helmet
- 1x front light (with permanent mode)
- 1x rear light (with permanent mode)
- 1x bicycle pump (mandatory even when using tubeless tires)
- 1x inner tube + 1x repair kit (patch + glue + tire changer – mandatory even when using tubeless tires)
- 1x spare set of brake pads
- Water bottles for a minimum capacity of 1.5l of water
- 1x pair of gloves
- Reflective clothing (eg: Audax vest, yellow safety vest…)
- 1x survival blanket
- 1x jacket or jersey with light rain protection, ideally with a hood
- Warm protection for cool nights (e.g. leg-warmers and arm-warmers)
- Sunglasses with UV protection
- Mobile phone and charging device (eg: dynamo or USB battery)
- Identity document + paper or digital copy of it (ex: keep a copy of your passport or identity card on your personal cloud)
For this 555 Maroc, whose route includes around 40% gravel sections, we recommend the following configuration:
- Gravel bike or semi-rigid mountain bike
- Tires of MINIMUM 40mm or 45mm if you are looking for more comfort
- Front transmission with single plate (36 or 38 teeth) or sub-compact (example: 46-30 teeth) and cassette as large as possible (example: 10-50 teeth)
- Disk brakes

Oasis Lodges in Marrakech
As in 2024, the Oasis Lodges is our official partner, host of the racing village of our queen stage in Morocco. It is located a few minutes from the center of Marrakech and a stone’s throw from Marrakech-Menara international airport. This green setting of several hectares is home to lodges with North African-inspired architecture and is made up of a maze of gardens imposing a gentle refuge with a deliciously exotic atmosphere. You can relax there before or after the race, by one of its swimming pools and eat in one of its delicious restaurants.
