Our legendary event in Corsica inaugurates a unique route in the heart of the island of beauty. From Biguglia near Bastia, you will tour the Cap Corse to continue crossing the Agriates desert and the formidable ascent of the Battaglia pass! You will reach the fabulous coves of Piana via the Vergio pass then explore the Ajaccian area. You will finally cross the Regional Natural Park of Corsica after chaining the Ospedale and Bavella climbs to finish on the eastern plain of the island. |

One of the legends about the origin of the name given to the island of Corsica tells us that the Greeks would have called it Kallistê (in ancient Greek: “the most beautiful”). True or false, this mythical island is the jewel of the Mediterranean Sea and offers an extraordinary cycling experience. Its topography makes it a mountain emerging from the sea.
The fourth largest island in the Mediterranean Sea, Corsica was for a long time part of the Republic of Genoa before becoming a French department during the revolution on January 15, 1790.
Its immense forests and numerous peaks located at 2,000 meters above sea level have long been a challenge for potential invaders to enter its lands. The island has a rich and preserved biodiversity with numerous protected reserves. Its mountains, snow-capped in winter, lead to demanding passages. Expect an experience full of climbs, at the best climatic/tourist period.
The Corsica route is 100% on asphalt roads. However, road quality may vary. The route is very mountainous. We recommend the following configuration:
- Road or gravel bike
- MINIMUM 25mm tires, ideally tubeless for comfort
- Disc brakes
- Transmission: front 50-34 teeth – rear cassettes 11-32 or 11-34 teeth (recommended)
For your safety, you are required to bring the following equipment with you to participate in the race. The organization will ensure that you are in possession of the mandatory equipment when athletes and bikes check-in.
- GPS tracker – provided by the organization
- 1x set of 4 spare AAA batteries (lithium) (for the GPS tracker)
- Bike GPS – Wahoo / Garmin type or equivalent
- 1x bicycle helmet
- 1x front light (with permanent mode)
- 1x rear light (with permanent mode)
- 1x bicycle pump (mandatory even when using tubeless tires)
- 1x inner tube + 1x repair kit (patch + glue + tire changer – mandatory even when using tubeless tires)
- Water bottles for a minimum capacity of 1.5l of water (1x 750ml water bottle provided to each athlete by the organization)
- 1x pair of gloves
- Reflective clothing (eg: Audax vest, yellow safety vest…)
- 1x survival blanket
- 1x jacket or jersey with light rain protection, ideally with a hood
- Warm protection for the cool nights in Corsica (eg: leg and/or arm warmers)
- Sunglasses with UV protection
- Mobile phone and charging device (eg: dynamo or USB battery)
- Identity document + paper or digital copy of it (ex: keep a copy of your passport or identity card on your personal cloud)

Find useful information on the logistics and schedule of the race below. The start of the race is located in Biguglia (south of Bastia). You can get there either by plane to Bastia airport, or by ferry to Bastia from France or Italy.
- Check-in: Saturday May 25th from 5pm to 7pm / Sunday May 26th from 7am to 10am.
- Pre-race Briefing: Sunday May 26th at 10:30am.
- Race Start: Sunday May 26th at 12pm.
- CP1: Location to be confirmed 1 month before the race
- CP2: Location to be confirmed 1 month before the race
- CP3: Location to be confirmed 1 month before the race
- Race cutoff time: Friday May 31st at 12pm.
- Closing lunch: Friday May 31st at 12pm (to be confirmed).
