Describing herself as a “flatlander” with a rich experience in track cycling, with several record attempts, Jasmijn flet incredibly attracted by the images and stories out of BikingMan Oman inaugural edition, with a growing desire to discover what it is.
Though hesitant at first, fearing the gravel and steep climbing associated with Jebel Shams, the call of the desert and much more pleasant climate than a european winter overshadowed her doubts and Jasmijn was on the starting line in Muscat for the 2019 edition.
And what a performance!
After a stellar ride, Jasmijn earned the crown in the women category for an 9th finishing position overall, only a couple minutes behind some experienced BikingMan veterans.
