Taiwan is full of surprises. The first one obviously is its discovery itself as only few have a good idea of what the island is made of. Then, there was the race, and its happenings, always coming with a good dose of unknowns.
The performance from Marcus was one of those surprises, as we witnessed an amazing riding, especially when the Taroko gorges opened in front of our eyes and we saw him push hard to a great pace, one that also took other riders by surprise.
Though that wasn’t necessarily predictable after the many times Marcus had to struggle with sleep during his journey.
