With the 555, BikingMan introduced a new race format to its calendar, with an event happening over the length of a weekend. With 55 hours to complete the 500 kms race course, 20% of which on gravel tracks, the 1st edition of the 555 Vercors was not to be taken lightly. The Vercors was indeed the perfect setup for an epic pilote, and with 12,000m of elevation on the shorter distance, it certainly was no easy task, even more so when factoring the 100 kms of gravel. Including famous passes also featured in the AURA edition, such as La Machine and La Bataille, and the incredible Combe Laval, and a chance to deep dive in its raw nature along those beautiful gravel tracks, the Vercors will undoubtedly have left marks in the participants of this first 555.
