Here comes the 6th edition of our mythical stage in Corsica! Who never dreamt to cycle around the island of beauty? From Biguglia next to Bastia, you will cross the spectacular mountains of the Regional Natural Park to reach the south of the island. You will then follow the West coast towards the North, passing by its enchanting beaches, the Balagne region and through the desert of Agriates to finish with the final bouquet the Cap Corse. |

One of the legends on the origin of the name given to the island of Corsica teaches us that the Greeks would have called it Kallistê (in ancient Greek: “the most beautiful”). True or false, this mythical island is the jewel of the Mediterranean Sea and offers an extraordinary cycling experience. Its topography makes it a mountain emerging from the sea.
The fourth largest island in the Mediterranean Sea, Corsica was part of the Republic of Genoa for a long time before becoming a French department during the revolution on January 15, 1790.
Its immense forests and its many peaks located at 2,000 meters above sea level have long been a challenge for its potential invaders to enter its lands. The island has a rich and preserved biodiversity with many protected reserves. Its mountains, snow-capped in winter, lead to demanding passages. Expect an experience rich in ascents, at the best climatic/tourist period.
The course of Corsica is 100% on asphalt road. However, the quality of the roads may vary. The course is very mountainous.
For this reason, we recommend:
- Road or gravel bike
- MINIMUM 25mm tires
- Disc brakes
- Transmission: 50-34 (front) – 11-32 cassettes (rear)
For your safety, you are required to bring the following equipment with you in order to participate in the race. The organization will make sure that you are in possession of the mandatory equipment when checking in the athletes and bikes.
- GPS tracker – provided by the organization
- 1x set of 4 spare AAA batteries (ideally lithium) (for the GPS tracker)
- Bike GPS – Wahoo / Garmin type or equivalent
- 1x bicycle helmet
- 1x front light (with permanent mode)
- 1x rear light (with permanent mode)
- 1x bicycle pump (mandatory even when using tubeless tires)
- 1x inner tube + 1x repair kit (patch + glue + tire changer – mandatory even when using tubeless tires)
- Water bottles for a minimum capacity of 1.5l of water (1x 750ml water bottle provided to each athlete by the organization)
- 1x pair of gloves
- Reflective clothing (eg: Audax vest, yellow safety vest…)
- 1x survival blanket
- 1x jacket or jersey with light rain protection, ideally with a hood
- Warm protection for the cool nights in Corsica (eg: leg and/or arm warmers)
- Sunglasses with UV protection
- Mobile phone and charging device (eg: dynamo or USB battery)
- Identity document + paper or digital copy of it (ex: keep a copy of your passport or identity card on your personal cloud)

Find useful information on the logistics and the race schedule below. The start of the race is in Biguglia (south of Bastia). You can get there either by plane to Bastia airport, or by ferry to Bastia from France or Italy.
- Check-in: Saturday May 27th – from 2pm to 6pm and Sunday May 28th from 9am to 12pm.
- Pre-race briefing: May 28th at 2pm.
- Race Start: Monday May 29th at 5am.

Corsica is a special event where each year the BikingMan Family comes together in force with nearly half of the participants who have already completed a BikingMan. If it’s your first time, it’s a perfect opportunity to meet the aficionados of the circuit.
