Explore some of the oldest mountains in South America, and around the Mantiqueira Massif. You will cycle through the Atlantic forest and discover the spectacular Brazilian biodiversity, one of the wildest in the world. Brazil offers you an exceptional gravel experience with its tropical weather and its tracks at the end of the world.
The fifth largest country in the world, Brazil is also the only country to be crossed by both the equator and the Tropic of Capricorn. Its territory occupies a large part of the South American east coast, as well as a large portion of its interior territory. As a result, Brazil shares a border with all South American countries, except Ecuador and Chile.
Colonized by Portugal in the early 16th century, and declared independent in 1822, Brazil has retained Portuguese as its main language, the only one in South America, and by far the largest Portuguese-speaking population in the world. Brazilian culture presents an extremely diverse and varied nature which can be described as that of a multicultural society which has given rise to many world famous festivals (such as the Brazilian carnivals).
For your safety, you are required to bring the following equipment with you in order to participate in the race. The organization will make sure that you are in possession of the mandatory equipment when checking in the athletes and bikes..
GPS tracker – provided by the organization
1x set of 4 spare AAA batteries (ideally lithium) (for the GPS tracker)
Bike GPS – Wahoo / Garmin type or equivalent
1x bicycle helmet
1x front light (with permanent mode)
1x rear light (with permanent mode)
1x bicycle pump (mandatory even when using tubeless tires)
1x inner tube + 1x repair kit (patch + glue + tire changer – mandatory even when using tubeless tires)
2x sets of spare brake pads
Water bottles for a minimum capacity of 1.5l of water (1x 750ml water bottle provided to each athlete by the organization)
Find useful information on the logistics and the race schedule below. The start of the race is located in Santo Antonio do Pinhal. If you are flying, we suggest you land at Sao Paulo International Airport. From there you will find cheap buses that can take you directly. The bus company accepts boxes and bicycle bags.
Check-in: Saturday September 23rd – from 2pm to 6pm and Sunday September 24th from 12 pm to 3pm.
Pre-race briefing: September 24th at 3pm.
Race Start: Monday, September 25th at 5am.

Closing party: Friday September 29th at 8pm (to be confirmed).
Race cutoff time: Saturday September 30th at 5am.
